b) Correction of your personal data.

c) Deletion of their personal data, if this is possible without violating legal requirements.

3) Data security
In order to ensure data security and to protect your personal data from dangers during data transmissions and from third parties gaining knowledge, suitable technical measures are applied in accordance with the current state of the art.  To ensure data security and to protect the transmission of, for example, contact requests, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize the encrypted connection, for example, by the lock symbol in the address bar of your browser. When SSL or TLS encryption is active, data that you transmit to us cannot be read by unauthorized persons.

4) Use of Google Analytics

In order to analyze the use of our website and to optimize it, we use the web analysis service Google Analytics of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). The service, which is operated and provided by Google, collects and processes data about the use of our website on our behalf. Personal data may also be stored in this process. Google is contractually obliged to take appropriate measures to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data.

When you visit our website, among other things, this information is transmitted to a Google server and stored:

  • The pages and sub-pages that you have called up on our site.

  • The number of clicks, how long you stayed on individual pages and similar information about your behavior when viewing our website.

  • Approximate information about your location, such as the state and city.

  • Contact requests and newsletter sign-ups

  • Parts of your IP address, so that identification is not possible.

  • Via which way you found to our website (referrer).

  • Further information about, for example, the browser type used, the browser language and version, the Internet provider, the terminal device, the operating system and screen properties.

  • The amount of data transferred

  • The date and time of the request with time zone difference to the coordinated universal time (UTC).

Google assures to comply with the data protection provisions of the "EU-US Privacy Shield" agreement. The evaluation takes place via pseudonymous user profiles, which are created with the help of a user ID. This user ID is randomly generated by cookies that Google Analytics stores in your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit to our site. Data that cannot be assigned to a user remain stored indefinitely and in condensed form. Data that is or can be related to the user must be deleted automatically after 14 months.

5) Collection of further personal data

Other stored information that may contain personal data are for example:

  • Name and contact details provided by you via our contact form.

  • Transient cookies, such as session cookies, which are automatically deleted as soon as you close your Internet browser again.

You can reject the use of cookies through the appropriate settings of your Internet browser. In addition, the most common Internet browsers allow you to delete existing cookies. However, this may affect the functionality of our website.

6) Blog

This website offers a blog where users have the opportunity to comment on posts.  We recommend that you use a pseudonym for your user name, which must be entered in addition to your e-mail address. This pseudonym will then be used when your comment is published. In order to be able to defend ourselves against liability claims in the event of publication of illegal content, we store your eMail address so that we can contact you if necessary. The same applies if a third party objects to your comment as illegal.

Furthermore, we store your IP address for one week on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.  All comments are checked before publication and we reserve the right to delete them if comments are objected to by third parties as unlawful.

7) Presence in social media

In order to be able to communicate with you in social networks and to inform you about our services, we are represented on LinkedIn and XING with our own pages. We only use this service within the scope of the possibilities offered to us by the respective providers, but are not operators of these platforms. As a precaution, we therefore point out that your data may also be processed outside the European Union. This may make it more difficult to protect your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation.  It is possible that data may be used for advertising purposes or to analyze user behavior by the providers without us being informed about this, allowing this or being able to be influenced by us. If you maintain your own profile on the respective social network and are logged in, cookies may be used or your usage behavior may be directly assigned to your own user profile.

The described processing operations of personal data are carried out pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. F DSGVO on the basis of our legitimate interest and the legitimate interest of the respective provider in order to be able to communicate with you in a timely manner or to inform you about our services. If you have to give your consent to data processing as a user with the respective providers, the legal basis refers to Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO in conjunction with Art. 7 DSGVO.

Since we do not have access to the providers' databases, we would like to point out that it is best to assert your rights (e.g. to information, correction, deletion, etc.) directly with the respective provider. Further information on the processing of your data in the social networks and the possibility of exercising your right of objection or revocation (so-called opt-out), we have listed below at the respective provider of social networks used by us:

https://privacy.xing.com/en/privacy-policy

https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

We also use social plug-ins from the social networks LinkedIn and XING on our website on the basis of Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO in order to raise awareness of our website. The underlying promotional purpose is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the DSGVO. The responsibility for data protection-compliant operation is to be ensured by their respective providers.

a) LinkedIn

Our website uses the "share function" of the LinkedIn network. The provider is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. In addition, it is then possible for LinkedIn to assign your visit to our website to you and your user account. We point out that we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted (personal) data and its use by LinkedIn. For more information on this, please refer to LinkedIn's privacy policy (see above).

If you click on the XING "Share button" (plug-in), you will be redirected to your user account in a separate browser window - provided you are logged into your XING user account - and can share the electronic publication stored on our website by adding a comment. The plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the XING server. XING thereby receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. We would like to point out that we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted (personal) data or its use by XING. For more information, please refer to the XING privacy policy (see above).

8) Newsletter

If a newsletter is offered on this website and you would like to receive it, we need your eMail address and some further personal data, which allow us to verify the eMail address. We do not collect any other data and we do not pass on your data to third parties without your express prior consent. If you have provided us with your e-mail address, we reserve the right to send you newsletters on a regular basis. The data processing is based solely on our legitimate interest in personalized communication. You can revoke any consent you may have given for the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time.

9) Sharing with third parties

We share personal data with third parties under certain circumstances. This concerns, for example, Google Analytics as described above.

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform through which we can sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com's data store, databases and general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

10) Storage periods

(1) We process and store your personal data only for the period of time during which the storage purpose is given. If the storage purpose ceases to apply or if a prescribed storage period expires, the personal data will be blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

(2) The duration of the storage of personal data corresponds to the statutory retention periods. After expiry of the respective period, the corresponding data will be deleted if they are no longer required for the purpose of storage.

11) Up-to-dateness and changes

This data protection declaration is currently valid and has the status of March 18, 2020.
